Problem

Traditional medical-grade compression stockings and socks are typically offered in plain unattractive, limited colorways such as tan, beige or suntan. They look and feel sad and old fashioned especially to women who need to feel a sense of positivity and normalcy after a scary health event like a Blood Clot.

The look of traditional products may discourage consistent use and adversely impact recovery + prevention of further health issues.

Meet

The

Founder

The inspiration behind founding Winifred Bloom emerged from a deeply personal health challenge: tackling Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolisms, and the subsequent necessity for compression wear. Founder Isha Brown was disheartened by the lack of stylish, fashionable options in the market.

"I remember going to the hospital pharmacy to buy my first pair of medical-grade compression stockings and just breaking down in tears," she recalls. "The pain and uncertainty of having blood clots were already overwhelming. The aesthetics of those drab, depressing garments only made things worse. Health products shouldn't look sad."

Recognizing a significant gap in the market for compression wear that is both medically effective and aesthetically pleasing, Isha set out to fill it. With degrees in Design and Software Development, and a decade of experience as a celebrated women's fashion designer featured in numerous publications such as Inc. Magazine and San Diego Magazine and the Union Tribune.

Isha brings passion for design and a unique blend of skills and to the table. Her approach is rooted in innovation, quality, and user-centric design, aiming to revolutionize the patient experience with medical grade compression wear.
